Asia Vital Components Posts Record Margins on AI Server Cooling Demand
Taiwan's thermal solutions provider reported gross margin of 32.57 percent and EPS of NT$24.37 in Q2, both all-time highs, driven by data center cooling systems.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
- ·Asia Vital Components reported Q2 gross margin of 32.57 percent and earnings per share of NT$24.37, both company records, driven by AI server cooling products.
- ·Net profit climbed 139.35 percent year-on-year to NT$9.57 billion, beating the NT$22.38 per share analyst consensus as thermal solutions mix improved.
- ·The company expects second-half revenue to exceed NT$98.16 billion and is expanding Vietnam capacity with NT$15 billion capital expenditure budgeted for this year.
Profitability Reaches New Peak
Asia Vital Components posted a gross margin of 32.57 percent in the second quarter, the highest in the company's history. The figure rose 2.8 percentage points from the prior quarter and jumped 8.16 percentage points year-on-year, according to the company's financial statement.
Net profit climbed to NT$9.57 billion, up 20.86 percent quarter-on-quarter and 139.35 percent from the same period last year. Earnings per share reached NT$24.37, beating the NT$22.38 average analyst estimate compiled by Yahoo Finance and eclipsing the NT$20.17 recorded in the first quarter.
The Taiwanese manufacturer specializes in advanced water cooling plates and liquid cooling systems for AI servers, data centers, and high-performance computing infrastructure. Revenue for the quarter hit NT$49.12 billion, a modest 0.17 percent increase sequentially but a 65.98 percent surge from a year earlier.
AI Infrastructure Drives Mix Shift
Asia Vital Components attributed the margin expansion to an improved product mix, with thermal solutions for AI servers making up a larger share of sales. Hyperscale data centers deploying generative AI workloads require more sophisticated cooling architectures than traditional server environments, a shift that has lifted average selling prices and profitability for suppliers in the thermal management chain.
The company's chassis business also contributed to the revenue increase last quarter. Combined with thermal products, these segments now anchor the firm's position in the AI hardware supply chain, where cooling has emerged as a critical bottleneck alongside power delivery and chip packaging.
First-Half Performance and Outlook
For the first half of the year, net profit surged 142.5 percent year-on-year to NT$17.48 billion, with earnings per share of NT$44.54. Gross margin for the six-month period rose 6.13 percentage points to 31.17 percent.
Asia Vital Components expects second-half revenue to exceed the NT$98.16 billion generated in the first half, citing continued growth in server-related shipments and additional production capacity coming online. The company plans to expand its Vietnam manufacturing footprint to meet demand from major cloud service providers.
Capital expenditure for this year is budgeted at approximately NT$15 billion, with management signaling higher spending next year as the firm scales capacity ahead of anticipated AI infrastructure buildouts across the region.
Regional Supply Chain Dynamics
The results underscore Taiwan's expanding role in the physical infrastructure layer of AI deployment, a segment that has received less attention than semiconductors but is equally critical to data center performance. Cooling systems for high-density GPU clusters can account for 20 to 30 percent of total system cost, and supply constraints in liquid cooling components have delayed rack deployments at several large cloud operators over the past year.
Asia Vital Components competes with suppliers in Japan, South Korea, and China, but its integration with Taiwanese server ODMs and early design wins with U.S. hyperscalers have positioned it to capture a disproportionate share of the AI thermal market. The company's Vietnam expansion also aligns with broader supply chain diversification efforts among cloud providers seeking manufacturing footprints outside China.
With gross margins now exceeding 32 percent and visibility into second-half demand, Asia Vital Components has emerged as one of the clearer beneficiaries of the AI capital expenditure cycle in Asia's hardware ecosystem.
