She has spent a long career reporting on Asia, with previous senior editing and bureau-chief roles at international wire services and regional dailies, in postings across Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. Her work has covered cross-border financial investigations, technology policy, and the people building consequential institutions across the region.
Mei Lin is active in regional press-freedom and editorial-standards work, and has guest-lectured on journalism and ethics at several universities in Singapore and the wider region. She lives in Singapore.
