Credibility comes from the method, not the marketing. Every element of the process is published before entries open, and every entrant leaves with something usable: a written score card from practitioners who build products for a living.

Scoring criteria and their weightings are released the day entries open, so every entrant knows exactly what is being measured.

A jury that ships

Weighted towards serving CTOs, CPOs, heads of engineering, and technology investors active across two or more Asian markets.

A score card, always

Every entrant receives a written score card signed by the panel, shortlisted or not, so the entry fee buys feedback, not just a chance.

Regional reach

Winners are published across the AAO network and its media titles, BriefAsia.com and OpenTechWire.com, and honored live in Bangkok.

Award categories

24 categories · 4 groups

The categories cover the whole of a technology business: the product itself, the change it creates, and the teams and people behind it. Choose the group that matches what you want judged, then the category that fits most honestly.

Eligibility: Open to products, initiatives, teams, and organizations built or substantially developed in Asia during the qualifying period. Honorary categories are jury-nominated and require no entry.

Product and Engineering

For the thing you actually shipped: consumer apps, enterprise platforms, AI applications, fintech, developer tools, hardware and robotics. Judged on craft, engineering quality, and evidence that people use it and keep using it.

For technology that changed something measurable outside the product: a company rebuilt around digital, emissions cut, communities served, patients treated, cities moved, systems secured. Numbers matter more than narrative.

Organization

The Asia Tech Awards is a joint partnership between APCG and AAO. APCG brings the editorial platform and the region’s technology readership through BriefAsia.com, where the awards run as a dedicated, promoted section; AAO brings the judging framework, the jury network, and the Winners’ Night.

Asia Awards Organization Pte. Ltd. (AAO) is an international platform recognizing excellence and innovation across industries. Following Winners’ Nights in Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul, and Vietnam, AAO returns to Bangkok in 2027, uniting all three award programs on one stage for the first time.
